In short: This page says what info we collect, why we collect it, and what choices you have. Questions? Email [email protected].
Effective date: October 29, 2026 | Dogeshorts ("we", "us") runs this website.
This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We keep this short and plain on purpose.
What we collect
- Your email address - when you buy a pack, join the email list, add a site to the Watch My Site list, or ask us to send you something.
- Order and email-list details - which tool you bought or joined the email list for, and whether you agreed to marketing emails.
- Information you give a tool that runs on our side - for example, the website address you add to the Watch My Site list, or the destination of a tracked QR link you create. Most tools run entirely in your own browser and send us nothing - see the next section.
- Basic technical information - the pages visited and the type of browser and device, collected by our hosting in the normal course of serving the site.
Your files stay on your device
Our lite tools - including the PDF tools, the invoice and receipt generator, the QR code and barcode generators, and the product-description generator - process your files and text in your own browser. Your files are not uploaded to us, not stored by us, and not seen by us. If a future paid version ever processes files on a server, the page will say so clearly before you use it, and this policy will be updated first.
One exception to know about: the QR code maker runs in your browser, but if you create a tracked link, the destination address and the label you give it are sent to and kept on our server — that is how scan counting works. Wi-Fi QR codes are made entirely on your device and are never sent to us.
How we use your information
- To provide the tool or service you asked for.
- To contact you about an order, or to send the updates you asked for.
- To send reminders or alerts you specifically opted in to.
- To reply when you contact us for support.
- To meet legal and tax record-keeping duties for completed sales.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for other companies' marketing.
Who else receives information
Only the service providers we need to run the site, and only the information each one needs:
- Payment processor - PayPal - handles checkout and payments. Your card details go to the processor, not to us.
- Hosting provider - serves the website and stores its data.
- Email and text-message providers - deliver the emails and reminder messages you opted in to.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the site and its users from fraud or abuse.
How long we keep it
- Email-list addresses: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and no longer than 12 months after the last email we send you.
- Watch-list entries: kept while the watch list is running. Ask any time and we delete yours within 30 days, except records the law requires us to keep.
- Completed sale records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from marketing email with one click in any marketing email, and stop reminder texts by replying STOP.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom: you also have the right to object to processing, to restrict processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Our legal bases are performing the service you requested, your consent (for reminders and marketing), and our legitimate interest in running and securing the site.
If you are in California: you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms, so there is no sale to opt out of.
Cookies
By default, this site uses only the cookies or similar storage strictly needed for the site to work, for example, remembering your chat messages and tool settings on your own device. There are no accounts and no sign-in on this site. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Children
This site is for adults and businesses. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the effective date above and, where we hold your email for an active service, email you before the change takes effect.
